The 2010 Division I Women's Basketball Championship game between Connecticut and Stanford on Tuesday drew a 2.7 rating on ESPN, which is an increase of 29 percent over the 2009 final.

Connecticut ran its Division I women's basketball record win streak to 78 games by defeating Stanford, 53-47, in San Antonio. It's the first time during Connecticut's streak that any team came within single digits of the Huskies.

Stanford led, 20-12, at halftime before Connecticut rallied to take control of the game over the final 20 minutes.

Connecticut, whose 76-54 win over Louisville drew a 2.1 rating in the 2009 championship game, finished 39-0 for the second straight season to become the first Division I women's program to post back-to-back undefeated seasons.
