Tina Krah, an NCAA associate director for championships, has been promoted to director of the Division I Women's Basketball Championship.
In her new role, Krah will be responsible for the preliminary-round and Women's Final Four ticket program, team transportation and the national officiating women's basketball program. Additionally, she will work extensively with the Division I Women's Basketball Committee and the Division I Women's Basketball Issues Committee regarding their strategic initiatives. She is scheduled to assume her new duties later this month.
Krah joined the national office staff in June 2001 after serving as director of women's basketball operations at Vanderbilt. She has spent her entire tenure at the NCAA in the championships group, including one year as an assistant director and the past seven and a half as an associate director, focusing primarily on the administration of women's team sport championships across all three divisions.
In addition to directing the Division II Women's Basketball Championship for the past eight years, she most recently has overseen the Division I Women's Volleyball and Golf Championships. She also previously administered championships in women's soccer, rowing, tennis and skiing.
Krah, a member of Immaculata's championship basketball team in 1974, formerly was a Division I women's basketball coach for 20 years. She was an assistant coach at Michigan State, California and Cal State Fullerton and served as head coach at San Jose State.
