Registration for the NCAA Women's Leadership Symposium is now available online.
The first event will be held March 27-28 in Sacramento, California. Professionals are charged a $75 registration fee, while students can attend the event for $25.
Hotel accommodations are $169 per night for a single room, or if participants are willing to have a roommate, the charge is $129 per night per room. Interested participants may attend the Division I women's basketball regional semifinals in Sacramento as a guest of the NCAA.
Highlights on the agenda include a diversity-training session, sports-law topics, career-advancement strategies, work-life balance advice, fund-raising skills and a session regarding the importance of building a "personal brand."
The NCAA Women's Leadership Symposiums, which are held regionally, are designed as educational experiences for professional women new to intercollegiate athletics administration and coaching, and students aspiring for a career in college sports.
A second 2010 symposium will take place May 13-14 in Tampa, Florida.
