Patti Phillips has been selected as executive director of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators, effective April 1.
Phillips has served for the past 10 years as executive director of the Women's Intersport Network of Kansas City (WIN-KC). Phillips succeeds Jennifer Alley, who is retiring after serving in the post since 1996.
"Patti brings a fresh and innovative perspective to NACWAA," said Mountain West Conference Associate Commissioner Carolayne Henry, the president of the NACWAA Board of Directors. "Our board is impressed with her passion for our mission, as well as her proven commitment to women's leadership development."
During her time with WIN-KC, Phillips helped grow the organization with programs such as the annual WIN for KC Luncheon, the WIN for KC Women's Triathlon, Camp WIN and the WIN for KC Women's Fitness Series. The organization's mission is to improve the health, confidence, and leadership skills of girls and women in the greater Kansas City region.
"NACWAA has played a critical role in my professional growth and development for the last 10 years. I am excited about our collective future and can't wait to partner with our board and our nearly 2,000 members to advance our mission," she said.
In addition to her duties as executive director at WIN for KC, Phillips is a color analyst for FOX Sports Midwest, Sooner Sports and Metro Sports. She also is a regular speaker on health and wellness, fitness and leadership development.
