The College Sports Information Directors of America recently announced it will induct seven current or former sports communications professionals into its Hall of Fame at the organization's national convention July 4-7 in San Francisco.

The class of 2010 features former CoSIDA President Max Corbet of Boise State and CoSIDA's Director of External Affairs Barb Kowal, who previously worked at Connecticut and Texas.

Other inductees are Roger Crosley of Emerson, John Eggers of Oregon State, Dave Kellogg of Air Force, Larry Happel from Central (Iowa) and Carol Hudson of Old Dominion.

Kellogg and Eggers were selected by the Veterans Selection Committee. The other five were selected by a vote of the current CoSIDA Hall of Famers.

CoSIDA also announced its 2010 Academic All-America Hall of Fame class Monday. Among inductees are two former Academic All-America football selections – Kentucky's James Kovach and Oklahoma's Dewey Selmon. They join former Academic All-America basketball standout Adonal Foyle of Colgate and Connecticut College rowing standout Anita DeFrantz.

CoSIDA has inducted 108 members since its Academic All-America Hall of Fame was established in 1988. For more on the 2010 class, click here.

The CoSIDA Hall of Fame class and the Academic All-America Hall of Fame class will be recognized together at a banquet July 6 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, site of the CoSIDA annual workshop.
