The fall 2010 issue of the NCAA’s Champion magazine is now online.
Baylor University quarterback Robert Griffin is on the cover of this edition of the Association’s official publication. Griffin has a habit of finishing things quickly, whether they are touchdown drives or college degrees.
The feature stories in this issue – the 12th since Champion was launched in January 2008 – include an insider’s view into the Champions Forum, a professional-development program for prospective minority head football coaches that is diversifying the college sidelines.
Another provides a look behind the scenes at NCAA championships, profiling some of the hundreds of volunteers and community members involved in staging the pinnacle events for college sports. From groundskeepers and shuttle drivers to marketing and tournament directors, these are some of the players you won’t see on the field and courts but who are vital to conducting NCAA championships.
