Former Missouri athletics director and Southern Conference commissioner Dave Hart Sr. died March 14 from congestive heart failure. He was 83.  Hart also served as athletics director at Louisville and as football coach at Pittsburgh. He spent the last 16 years consulting with UNC Asheville, raising money for student-athlete scholarships through a charity golf tournament each year. Hart served on the NCAA Division I Basketball Committee in the 1980s.

Wrestling – Tom Schleicher retired from Muhlenberg after 13 years with the Mules. Schleicher sent 25 wrestlers to the NCAA championships and coached six all-Americans in his time at Muhlenberg.
