Rebecca S. Chopp will be the next president of Swarthmore. Currently holding the presidency at Colgate, Chopp will be Swarthmore’s first female president when she takes over for Alfred H. Bloom in June. Chopp holds degrees from Kansas Wesleyan, Chicago and the St. Paul School of Theology.
