Colleen Lim, the assistant dean of admissions at Stanford for the last two years, was named as associate commissioner for governance and administration at the WCC. Lim formerly was an athletics administrator at Yale and previously was chair of the Division I Women’s Soccer Committee and the Division I Field Hockey Committee. She also served on the Committee on Athletics Certification, the Championship and Competition Cabinet, and the Initial-Eligibility Waivers Committee.

Other transactions

Associate directors of athletics – Houston hired Darren Dunn as senior associate athletics director for external relations. Dunn formerly spent eight-and-a-half years as an associate athletics director at New Mexico and has served as the general manager of Lobo Sports Properties/Learfield Sports for the past two years.

Men’s basketball assistants – Keene State added Kevin Ritter and Kyle Brudvig as assistant coaches. Ritter, a former four-year player for the Owls, was an assistant coach at John Jay (New York) High School last year. Brudvig most recently has been at Old Dominion, where he worked in the athletics business office. 

Women’s basketballNicole Anderson was chosen as head coach at Texas A&M-Commerce. For the past six years, Anderson has worked as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Long Beach State and formerly was head coach at New Haven.  

Women’s basketball assistants – Keene State added Trevor Hansen as an assistant coach. Hansen, who served in the same capacity from 2004-07, rejoins the Owls after spending the past two years as the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Keene (New Hampshire) High School. 

Men’s and women’s track and field assistants – Brent Shelby was tabbed as an assistant coach at Youngstown State. Shelby, who will assume duties as throws coach for the Penguins, was a five-year thrower at Kent State and was the throws coach at Pittsburgh for the 2008-09 season … Caitlin Bradley was appointed as an assistant men’s and women’s cross country and track and field coach at Hamilton. Bradley was a 2008 graduate of Dickinson, where she was a seven-time all-American and a two-time team captain.

Men’s and women’s gymnastics – Rhode Island College named Tristan Poirier was appointed as head women’s at Rhode Island. He takes over for Shannon Cornicelli, who stepped down after two seasons. Since 2003, Poirier has been the girls’ optional, as well as, the boys’ compulsory and optional coach at the Ocean State School of Gymnastics.

Men’s and women’s swimming assistantKatie Allenson was named as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Keene State. The six-time All-New England swimmer and five-time Little East champion relay team member also played softball for the Owls.

Conferences

The Atlantic 10 Conference hired Jill Redmond as director of compliance and selected Melissa Kristofak as associate director of communications. Redmond was assistant athletics director/compliance at Richmond; Kristofak was director of media relations at the Sun Belt Conference.
