Wendy Guthrie resigned as commissioner of the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, which she has led since the league was founded in 2002. She oversaw expansion of the league from six to 12 teams as it gained automatic qualification to the Division I Softball Championship. Guthrie also is senior associate commissioner/chief of staff at the West Coast Conference.

Director of athleticsDave Kemmy named interim athletics director at Roger Williams, where he is assistant athletics director for administration and head wrestling coach.

Coaches

Baseball Bruce Peddie promoted from assistant to head coach at New Orleans, where he has been on the staff for three seasons. He also has been head coach at Shippensburg.

Men’s basketballArt Leary retired as head coach at Southern Connecticut State, where he has compiled 374 victories since 1978 and led the Owls to four Division II Men’s Basketball Championship appearances … Keith Dambrot received a new contract through 2016 at Akron.

Women’s basketballJodi Kest received a new contract through 2014 at Akron.

Women’s basketball assistantsCaleb and Nicole Nieman joined the staff at Kentucky Wesleyan.

Golf Matt Johnson named head women’s coach at North Dakota State. He was head men’s coach at the school from 2001 to 2004 … Don Hudson selected as men’s golf coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State.

Lacrosse Damir Pesa promoted from assistant to head women’s coach at Nichols, where he also assists with women’s soccer.

Soccer Trevor Adair resigned after 14 years as head men’s coach at Clemson. He coached teams to nine Division I Men’s Soccer Championship appearances and departs with 174-91-26 record.

Softball Kristan Mallet named head coach at Nichols, moving over from the head women’s lacrosse coach’s position she held for three years. She continues to serve as head field hockey coach … Sunny Jones hired as head coach at Detroit after three seasons as an assistant at Toledo. She also has been head coach at Hillsdale … Sharon Boeve De Kleine selected as head coach at Calvin, where she was a standout softball and basketball student-athlete … Julie Jones received a new contract through 2012 at Akron.

TennisKathy Sell resigned as head women’s coach at Princeton, citing family reasons, after leading the Tigers to the Division I Women’s Tennis Championships in her fifth season at the school.

Track and fieldSam Albert selected for the new position of director of track and field at Rochester after serving since 2006 as coordinator of the Violet Booster Club for New York University. He was a league champion sprinter and hurdler at Rochester and assisted with track at NYU.
