The RecordColgate Director of Athletic Communications Bob Cornell has announced his retirement at the end of the 2008-09 season. He is ending his tenure after serving 33 years on the Raiders staff. Cornell was inducted in the Colgate Athletics Hall of Honor in 2008 and received the inaugural Peter Nevins Award for Distinguished Achievement given to a media relations professional in recognition of their advancement of the field of athletics communications and advocacy for intercollegiate athletics.

Coaches
Men’s basketball – Jeremy Luther has been named men’s basketball coach at Armstrong Atlantic State … The University of Mary named Randall Herbst men’s basketball coach.
Men’s and women’s lacrosse – Jamie Munro resigned as men’s lacrosse coach at Denver.
Men’s and women’s track and field – Central Michigan named Willie Randolph as the new director of men’s and women’s track and field/cross country.
Men’s and women’s volleyball – Reggie Pantophlet has been appointed women’s volleyball coach at Mercy.
Honors
Former Academic all-America basketball selections Tom Clark, 1987, of Mount Vernon Nazarene; Diane Dietz, 1982, of Michigan; and Julie Roe Lach, 1997, of Millikin join former Academic All-America linebacker Patrick Tyrance, 1990, of Nebraska; and UCLA volleyball star Karch Kiraly, 1983, as this year’s inductees into the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America Hall of Fame. Roe Lach is currently a director of enforcement at the NCAA.
