Huston, the Division III National Field Athlete of the Year, said receiving the award was a great honor.
“I have truly been blessed with the athletics abilities God has given me and it has been exciting to represent Hardin-Simmons in this inaugural season. I am thankful for the amazing year I’ve had and the memories this year has brought,” she said.
The academic all-American and academic all-ASC pick was an education major and has accepted a position as a high school basketball and track coach.
