Following is a summary of recently published Division III news.

•         A growing concern resulting from Division III’s vote in 2007 to more aggressively monitor institutions’ compliance with membership standards prompted the Division III Management Council to request a review of the current penalty structure.

•         The Management Council supports bringing a proposal to the 2010 Convention to simplify tryout legislation.

•         New Jersey City has been selected to host the 2010 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship, becoming the first Division III institution to host the event.

•         Becker sophomore Tammy Mullen is the new owner of the Division III single-season women’s lacrosse record for goals in a season.
