Following is a summary of Division III news from the week of December 7-11.

• Three videos previewing Division III legislative proposals scheduled for a vote at the 2010 Convention now are available for online viewing.
• Former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell is the second Bowdoin graduate to be selected to receive the NCAA’s highest honor, the Theodore Roosevelt Award.
• The Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation, the umbrella organization for three Division III conferences, officially has changed its name to the Middle Atlantic Conferences.
• Macalester’s Stephanie Schleuder, one of volleyball’s most victorious coaches and the only coach at a school outside Division I elected as president of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, is retiring from courtside duties.
• A team led by Marietta Sports Information Director Dan May created the concept for the College Sports Information Directors of America’s new logo.
• The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced a partnership with Special Olympics Wisconsin
• Messiah again swept the men’s and women’s titles in the Division III soccer championships.
