Following is a summary of Division III news from the week of October 19-23.
- The only two conference-sponsored legislative proposals for the 2010 Convention, including a measure to permit “walkthrough” sessions during the early days of preseason football practice, won support from the Division III Management Council.
- Jeff Schebler has added Division III’s football career kick scoring mark to a shelf full of records he has compiled at Wisconsin-Whitewater, and now appears set to push that mark well beyond 400 points.
- Football programs in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will play one league opponent twice in a season beginning in 2011 as part of the WIAC’s continuing efforts to reduce operating costs.
- Hilbert and Emmanuel announced plans to sponsor varsity programs in men’s and women’s lacrosse.
