Division III RewindFollowing is a summary of Division III news published March 16-20.
• The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference will observe its 10th anniversary in Indianapolis April 13 with its “Decade of Excellence through Athletics” Celebration.
• Student-athletes from Wabash returned from a second mission trip to Africa – a journey in which they were joined this year by football players from Wheaton (Illinois).
• Wartburg won its first title at the Division III Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships, while Wisconsin-La Crosse extended its record number of men’s indoor championships titles to 15, though it shared this year’s trophy with cross-state rival Wisconsin-Oskhosh.
• Misericordia senior third baseman Mike Murphy set a Division III record for hits in a single game last weekend when he collected eight hits in nine at-bats in a game at Polytechnic (New York).
