Sport committee appointments approved for 2009-10

The Division II Management and Presidents Councils reviewed and approved appointments to Division II sport committees at their recent meetings.
Following are the new appointments and reappointments (terms begin September 1 unless otherwise noted):
- Division II Baseball Committee – Jason Trufant, assistant director of athletics at Molloy, replacing Joseph Clinton, director of athletics at Dominican (New York).
- Division II Men’s Basketball Committee – E.J. Brophy, director of athletics at West Alabama, replacing Michael Anderson, assistant commissioner of media and public affairs at the Gulf South Conference.
- Division II Women’s Basketball Committee – Kathy Anderson, associate athletics director for internal operations at Central Missouri, replacing Sally Brooks, head coach at Angelo State.
- Division II Field Hockey Committee – Molly Myers, assistant commissioner at the Northeast-10 Conference, replacing Shannon Hlebichuk, head coach at Massachusetts-Lowell.
- Division II Football Committee – Frank Condino, director of athletics at Indiana (Pennsylvania), replacing Roberta Page, formerly director of athletics at Shippensburg (now director of championships at the NCAA national office). Also, Monte Cater, head coach at Shepherd, was awarded a one-year extension.
- Division II Women’s Lacrosse Committee – Michelle Gober, associate director of athletics at Kutztown, was reappointed.
- NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Rules Committee – Julie Redman, head women’s lacrosse coach at Converse, replacing Mercyhurst head coach Cecil Pilson, as a Division II representative on the Association-wide rules committee.
- Division II Women’s Rowing Committee – Patricia Pinkerton, boathouse director and head coach at UC San Diego, replacing Erin O’Connell, assistant director of athletics at Seattle Pacific; and Christopher O’Brien, head coach/assistant CCD at Philadelphia U., replacing Frank Pizzardi, head coach/director of rowing at Dowling.
- Division II Women’s Soccer Committee – Ged O’Conner, head coach at St. Leo, replacing Patricia Hughes, head coach/assistant director of athletics at Montevallo. Also, Pat Britz, commissioner of the South Atlantic Conference, was reappointed.
- Division II Men’s Soccer Committee – Thomas Lang, head coach at Southern Connecticut State, replacing Marco Koolman, head coach at Franklin Pierce; and Gary Gray, director of athletics at Montana State-Billings, replacing Cal State Los Angeles AD Dan Bridges (both appointments effective immediately).
- Division II Softball Committee – Christi Wade, assistant athletics director and head coach at St. Leo, replacing Sam Goodwin, director of athletics at Henderson State.
- NCAA Softball Rules Committee – Patti Gerckens, head coach at UC San Diego, replacing Cal State Chico head coach Jamie Brown as a Division II representative on the Association-wide rules committee.
- Division II Men’s and Women’s Tennis Committee – Pamela Arpe, assistant athletics director at Stonehill, was reappointed.
- Division II Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee –Kristene M. Kelly, associate athletics director at St. Augustine’s, replacing Dianne Watkins, an administrator at Morehouse College; and Jamie Moreno, head men’s and women’s cross country and track coach at Florida Southern, replacing Danielle Barney, assistant director of athletics at Lock Haven.
- Division II Women’s Volleyball Committee – Taylor Mott, associate athletics director and head coach at Flagler, replacing Ginger Crissman-Ashley, head coach at Catawba.
