Saturday is TV Day for DIIDivision II fans will get plenty of TV and Internet viewing opportunities this Saturday as five championship events will be broadcast live on ESPN, CBS College Sports and NCAA.com.
The action gets underway with CBS College Sports Network televising both the women’s and men’s soccer finals between winners of the semifinals being played Thursday in Tampa.
The Division II Football Championship semifinals also are on Saturday, with ESPN/ESPN360.com broadcasting the Carson-Newman-Grand Valley State matchup at 3:30 p.m. and CBS College Sports Network/NCAA Productions syndication affiliates/NCAA.com showing the California (Pennsylvania)-Northwest Missouri State clash at 8:30 p.m..
Also at 8:30 is the Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship match between winners of Friday’s semifinal matches. NCAA.com will stream the action live via broadband.
“It isn’t often that Division II gets a day in the television spotlight that includes action from so many different sports,” said Division II Vice President Mike Racy. “But our relationship with our broadcast partners, including ESPN and the Division II agreement with CBS College Sports Network, make it possible for fans of Division II schools to witness firsthand the athletics accomplishments of their student-athletes.”
The lineup for Saturday, December 5 (all times Eastern)
1 p.m., Division II women’s soccer championship game
3:30 p.m., Division II football semifinal No. 1
4 p.m., Division II men’s soccer championship game
8:30 p.m., Division II football semifinal No. 2
8:30 p.m., Division II women’s volleyball championship match
