Following is a summary of Division II news from the week of July 27-31.

• The Division II Men’s Golf Committee is recommending a match-play format for its championships beginning in 2011 that is similar to the one Division I successfully debuted this past year.
• The Division II Women’s Golf Committee wants to allow an additional coach to accompany teams on the course during championship competition.
• The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association has agreed to retain the conference’s membership at 12 schools
• The Lone Star Conference and the MIAA have agreed to compete annually in the Kanza Bowl, a new postseason football game to be played the first Saturday in December in Topeka, Kansas.
