The Division II Championships Committee approved future championship sites for women’s golf and wrestling during a recent conference call.

Committee members selected Grand Canyon to host the 2010 Division II Women’s Golf Championships at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona. The Mesa Convention and Visitors Bureau will serve as hosts. The golf championships were at Findlay last year. The tournament has not been conducted in the West region since 2005 when it was at Silver City, New Mexico.

The Division II Wrestling Championships will return to Nebraska-Kearney in 2011. It marks the third time for the event at Nebraska-Kearney (2005, 2007). The 2007 event there was among the highest attended Division II wrestling championships. This year’s championships also will be in Nebraska at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
