Indiana adds field hockey buildingIndiana has built a new team building to house locker rooms, a meeting room and equipment room for the field hockey team. The facility completes a field hockey complex that got a new field in the summer of 2007.
An anonymous donor helped to fund the building. Coach Amy Robertson said the facility will not only help with instruction and convenience, but is also likely to improve team bonding by providing a place for student-athletes to gather after practices and games.
“With the addition of this team and locker room to the turf field, our field hockey facility has become a special place,” said Janet Kittell, associate athletics director. “We are very grateful to the anonymous donor and to the vice president and director of athletics Fred Glass for their generous financial commitment. This project has been a labor of love that will be appreciated by IU student-athletes and coaches for decades.”
