The following is a summary of Division I news from the week of February 16-20.

•         The Committee on Academic Performance approved the creation of a Web site that would make head coaches’ APR portfolio available to the public. The site will be populated and online by summer 2010.

•         The Recruiting Cabinet discussed the increase in non-coaching staff members with sport-specific responsibilities and the application of current recruiting legislation to new media and technology. The cabinet will begin discussions on early recruiting this summer.

•         The Southern Conference announced cost-cutting measures, including a reduction in qualifying teams for some conference tournaments and shorter conference baseball series.

•         Army’s men’s lacrosse team reached 700 wins, only the fifth program to achieve the milestone.
