Track prelims to be in Greensboro, AustinThe NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee has selected Greensboro, North Carolina; and Austin, Texas, as sites for the 2010 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s track and field preliminary rounds.
North Carolina A&T State University will host the Greensboro competition at the Irwin Belk Track. The University of Texas at Austin will host the other at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Both will be three-day meets on May 27-29, 2010.
“We are happy to move forward with North Carolina A&T and Texas serving as our hosts for the preliminary rounds,” said Holly Sheilley, chair of the Division I Men’s and Women’s Track and Field committee. “Both institutions have demonstrated their overwhelming commitment and enthusiasm for track and field, and we look forward to working together in hosting a first-class event for the student-athletes, fans and all those associated with the sport.”
The 2010 finals are June 9-12 at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field in Eugene.
