Towson softball coach Lisa Costello won her 400th game Tuesday when junior second baseman Mindy Bean’s single knocked in a run in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Tigers came from behind to take the first game of a doubleheader against La Salle, 3-2. Towson also won the second game, 2-1.

“I’m happy about the milestone win, but I am happier that the team took advantage of the opportunities and got two wins,” Costello said.

Costello’s career record stands at 401-359-2 in her 14th season. She is the fourth active coach in the Colonial Athletic Association to reach 400 victories.
