CAA announces television dealColonial Athletic Association Football has announced a television agreement with several carriers for the 2009 season. A conference-only package of 19 games on Comcast networks highlights the 23-game schedule.
“We are proud to again have the largest Football Championship Subdivision television package in the country,” Commissioner Tom Yeager said. “Thanks to our partnerships with Comcast Sports Group, ESPN and a number of other carriers we are able to create a television package which showcases the best FCS conference in the country.”
All of the conference games aired on Comcast SportsNet also will be available to Comcast Digital Cable customers on demand at no charge for one week after the original broadcast. The network will re-air games throughout the season and include additional programming including news and analysis of CAA football. ESPN360.com, the Big Ten Network and CBS College Sports television will also broadcast games as part of the deal.
