Runners and walkers are invited to participate in the 2009 4Kay Run, presented by The Hartford, April 4 in downtown St. Louis. The run is one of the many ancillary events surrounding the 2009 Women’s Final Four April 5 and 7.

The second annual run honors Kay Yow, the longtime North Carolina State head women’s basketball coach who died of breast cancer January 24. Proceeds from the event will benefit cancer research through the Kay Yow/Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Cancer Fund.

The first 1,000 registrants will receive a 4Kay Run T-shirt. In addition, participants who present their race bib at NCAA Hoop City in the America’s Center on race day will earn free admission. 

Packet pick-up and registration is from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. at the Old Cathedral parking lot on race day. The run begins at 8 a.m. The pre-registration fee is $20.
