Registration is now open for the 2009 NACWAA/HERS Institutes for Administrative Advancement and the 2009 Leadership Enhancement Institute.

The NACWAA/HERS Institute is an annual week-long management training program for intercollegiate administrators and coaches. Now in its 15th year, the institute focuses on preparing participants to work with current issues in intercollegiate athletics with an emphasis on management skills and professional development.

Institutes will be held May 27-June 1 in Englewood, Colorado and June 6-11 in Atlanta. Registration is limited to 40 participants at each site. A typed, self-descriptive essay and a $50 non-refundable fee must accompany the application, which must be accessed online. The deadline is March 6.

The 2009 Leadership Enhancement Institute (NACWAA/HERS Level II) will be May 28 through June 2 in Englewood, Colorado. It is designed to provide advanced educational opportunities and professional development for NACWAA/HERS program graduates who are looking for more in-depth training in designated areas of athletics administration. Topics for the week-long institute include management/leadership styles; budget, finance and fund-raising; career enhancement skills for the future; and other contemporary issues.

For full consideration for the Leadership Enhancement Institute, the registration form and a non-refundable $50 application fee must be received no later than February 20.
