Applications for the Jim McKay Scholarship are now available online.

One male and one female student-athlete will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship annually as part of the program established in 2008 to recognize the contributions of legendary sports journalist Jim McKay.

Student-athletes from all divisions and sports who are interested in pursuing a career in the sports-communication industry are eligible for the award. Candidates also must be enrolled in graduate school or be a graduating senior committed to enrolling in graduate school within five years. Eligibility requirements are listed on the application.

Only hard copies of the application mailed to the NCAA national office and postmarked by January 31, 2010, will be considered.
