Dartmouth appoints new president
Dartmouth announced the appointment of Dr. Jim Yong Kim to the post of president, making him the first Asian-American president of an Ivy League institution. Kim is best known for his medical work helping poor around the world. Before being tapped by Dartmouth Kim was an official at the Harvard Medical School.

Magee moves ahead of Rupp
Philadelphia University men's basketball coach Herb Magee has passed former Kentucky coach Adolph Rupp to move into fourth place on the NCAA career wins list. Magee won his 877th game on Friday. He has been coaching for more than 40 years.

Huskies finish regular season undefeated
The Connecticut women's basketball team have done it again, finishing 30-0 for the fifth time in the school's history. It wasn't easy though. The 69-59 win came despite 23 Huskies turnovers and a tough Rutgers team. "Being 30-0 is fantastic -- if you're able to finish it off down the road," Connecticut Coach Geno Auriemma told the New York Times.
