Oregon's football coach steps
We've talked about coaches-in-waiting before. Oregon has put its plan into action. In a press release Friday, University of Oregon President Dave Frohnmayer announced Head Football Coach Mike Bellotti will become University of Oregon's athletics director on July 1.

 

BCS bowls not going anywhere
The Fiesta, Orange, Rose and Sugar bowls extended their agreements with the Bowl Championship Series, deals that will keep the national championship game at those sites through 2013.

Feeling down? Head over to Purdue University and walk past the Compliment Guys. According to the Chicago Tribune, Cameron Brown and Brett Westcott stand outside the chemistry building for two hours every Wednesday with their "Free Compliments" sign. The shout compliments to passer-bys for no other reason than to cheer them up.
