The NCAA Women’s Bowling Committee has selected the University of Detroit Mercy to host the 2011 National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship April 14-16 at Skore Lanes in Taylor, Michigan, outside of Detroit.

The bowling championship, which the NCAA has sponsored since 2004, is a double-elimination event conducted among eight teams.

“We are committed to making the 2011 championship a tremendous success for the participating student-athletes and the local community,” said Detroit Athletics Director Keri Gaither, whose institution also hosted the 2009 Men’s Final Four last April.

New Jersey City University is hosting this year’s bowling championship April 8-10 at the Brunswick Zone Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick, New Jersey.
