The fourth annual Palm Springs Softball Classic, sponsored by the Women's Sports Foundation and hosted by Oregon State, will feature competition among more than 20 teams from around the nation today through Sunday.

This is the first time the Women’s Sports Foundation has sponsored the event. Among the feature matchups is today when the U.S. Olympic team takes on Pacific in an exhibition game. The U.S. Olympic team will also appear in events off the field on Friday and Saturday, including a “kids' chat with champions.”

For $10, children under 18 can visit with Olympic team players and receive an all-day tournament pass.

Institutions participating in the event are: Arizona, Baylor, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Fordham, Fresno State, Georgia, Hawaii, Long Island, LSU, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Oregon, San Diego State, Stanford, Texas, Pacific, UCLA, UNLV, Michigan State, Northwestern and Oregon State.
