A group of men’s basketball coaches will tour the Persian Gulf region for eight days next month, meeting with service personnel stationed in the Middle East.

Making the trip will be Manhattan’s Barry Rohrssen, Jerry Wainwright of DePaul, Jeff Jones from American, Brian Gregory from Dayton, Tom Pecora from Hofstra and Tom Schuberth of Texas-Pan American. The coaches will be joined by Reggie Minton from the National Association of Basketball Coaches and Fran Fraschilla from ESPN.

The tour will begin with visits to injured service members at Bethesda Naval Hospital and Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

The event is provided by the United Service Organization and Armed Forces Entertainment.
