Loyola (Maryland) swimmer Phil Scholz is featured on the NCAA's official blog the Double-A Zone today. Scholz, a freshman swimmer who specializes in the 400-meter freestyle and the 100-meter butterfly, is blind.
In the pool, you would never know Scholz had a disability. A freshman walk-on, he set 11 American Paralympic records and was named the Division I swimmer of the week in December. He was also the subject of a recent ESPN.com article. Read more about Scholz here.
