The Big South Conference will stage its third annual College Bowl Tournament at Liberty on February 2. The tournament features student teams that will answer questions on a variety of subjects.
Students from Charleston Southern, High Point, Liberty, Radford, North Carolina-Asheville, VMI and Winthrop will participate, as well as students from future Big South member Gardner-Webb. Topics will range from pop culture to history to sports, with points awarded for each correct question.
Liberty is the two-time defending champion. The event will be streamed live on The Big South EDGE for $3.95.
The event came from the league's Academic Consortium, which aims to develop institutional relationships outside of athletics. The consortium also sponsors an undergraduate research symposium.
