Ball State sophomore Paige Esford provided some exciting moments in the Cardinal Classic golf tournament earlier this week, recording two holes-in-one in two days.
She made her first career hole-in-one April 13, then repeated the performance with a second ace April 14. Esford used a 9-iron to ace the 113-yard, par-3 14th hole at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana, Sunday, then hit a 7-iron in to the cup on the 156-yard, par-3 16th hole Monday.
“For that to happen is unreal,” Esford told the Muncie (Indiana) Star-Press.
The Cardinals have won three tournaments this spring after posting a win in the fall season opener. Ball State will complete its regular season April 25-27 at the Mid-American Conference Championships at the historic Brickyard Crossing Golf Course, which is located inside and surrounding the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
