Nominations for student-athletes in fall sports are being accepted for the NCAA Top VIII Award, the annual honor that recognizes student-athletes who have recently exhausted their collegiate eligibility.
All conferences and institutions are encouraged to nominate outstanding student-athletes. Eligible nominees must complete their eligibility during the fall 2008 championships season, which includes cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, women’s volleyball and men’s water polo. An institution may nominate more than one student-athlete in a sport. There is no limit on winners from one institution.
The 2009 Today’s Top VIII recipients will be honored during the NCAA Convention in Washington, D.C., in January.
