Texas' Big 12 South nightmare is being handled with a little bit of humor on the Austin campus. In the Campus Watch section of Texas' Web site, which reports police activity on the campus, the following was listed:
DKR- TEXAS MEMORIAL STADIUM, 2200 Robert Dedman
Robbery: Several UT staff members, faculty, students, and Texas Ex's discovered a fraction of a percentage point had been taken and was transported across state lines. The percentage point was discovered north of the Red River at the campus of another Big 12 South University.
Weis appears to have a future at Notre Dame - Dec 03, 2008 | 11:44:17
It appears Charlie Weis will be returning to South Bend next year as Notre Dame's football coach, although the school has yet to confirm the reports. Assuming the reports are valid, the most talked about coaching move that never happened in recent memory will have finally come to an end. It will be interesting to see when the Notre Dame athletics department finally confirms (or denies) the media reports.

Sacrificing timeouts for tradition - Dec 03, 2008 | 10:13:56
Yesterday, we wrote about USC's decision to give up two timeouts (one in each half) in its upcoming game at UCLA so it can wear its red home jerseys. UCLA's Head Coach Rick Neuheisel has agreed to immediately call a timeout at the start of each half to make it even. The last time USC and UCLA both wore their home jerseys in a game against each other was 1982.
Are you ok with the teams giving up timeouts, and possibly jeopardizing its chance to win the game so that they can revive a tradition?
Duke impressive, but what's new - Dec 03, 2008 | 9:32:15
What a solid performance by Duke last night, going on the road and defeating 10th-ranked Purdue, 76-60. It's amazing that Duke is undefeated at 10-0 all-time in the Big 10/ACC Challenge, despite playing against many quality Big 10 teams in difficult environments. Even if you're not a Duke fan, you have to respect the program Mike Krzyzewski runs in Durham.
