The Title IX Resource Center has added a presentation online that provides material for instructors who focus on how Title IX affects athletics.

The initiative targets Title IX and intercollegiate athletics, NCAA gender-equity principles, sexual harassment, equal pay, NCAA participation data and women in athletics careers.

Member institutions will receive a CD with the presentation and background notes later this fall.

Part I of the presentation includes definitions, history and athletics compliance areas. The second section guides viewers through the NCAA gender-equity principles, the Equity in Athletics Data Analysis and planning tips. Part III focuses on harassment and pay equity. The final portion is centered on NCAA participation, economic data, and women in athletics facts and resources.

The NCAA Title IX Resource Center also includes video resources from previous NCAA Gender Equity and Issues Forums featuring NCAA President Myles Brand, Judy Sweet, Christine Grant, Nancy Hogshead-Makar, Janet Judge, Donna Lopiano and Andrew Zimbalist.
