NCAA Women in College Sports Forum to be held in Tampa

A Women in College Sports Forum will be conducted April 6 in Tampa, Florida.
The day-long event, which is sponsored by the NCAA, will feature discussions on barriors to women in intercollegiate
athletics and work/life balance issues for female athletics administrators and coaches.

Other topics on the agenda are how female athletes are portrayed in the media and diversity hot topics.

Panelists for the forum, which will be held the same day as the national semifinals of the Women's Final Four,
inlcude Kate Hickey, a senior associate athletics director at Rutgers and former Division I Management Council chair, Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale, DePaul Athletics Director Jean Lenti Ponsetto and Nancy Hogshead-Makar, who is from the Florida Coastal School of Law and one of the leading advocates on Title IX issues.

Sheila Johnson, the president and managing partner of the WNBA Washington Mystics, will conduct a keynote address at
the forum.
