NCAA Football partnered this season with several organizations, including the Allstate Sugar Bowl, the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, the Sun Belt Conference, Conference USA, Russell Athletic, Wilson Sporting Goods, Louisiana State University and Tulane University, to provide $750,000 toward the New Orleans Recreational Department youth football program. The donation helped fund skills clinics for local youth, coaches and parents, as well as uniforms and equipment for youth football games.

The initiative culminated at the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl where about 1,000 kids, coaches and parents attended a pregame banquet to celebrate the season. “NCAA Football’s sponsorship has truly been a blessing not only to the recreational department, but also to our city’s youth,” said department director Larry Barabino Jr.
