The National Athletic Trainers’ Association will install Marjorie J. Albohm as its next president this month. Albohm, one of the first female athletic trainers ever certified, will be the second female to lead the organization. She succeeds Chuck Kimmel.

Albohm works with Ossur Americas, a consulting company, and is an instructor with Speech Fitness Communications. She has also worked in research and business development for Orthopedics Indianapolis and the Indiana Orthopedic Hospital.

She is a past president of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Research and Education Foundation and has held several leadership positions within the group. Albohm served on the medical staff for two Olympic Games and several other international competitions.

Albohm will assume the NATA presidency during the group’s annual meeting, June 17-21, in St. Louis.
