The National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators named the winners of its Administrator of the Year awards, led by Columbia Athletics Director M. Dianne Murphy.

In addition to Murphy, honored for her work in the Football Championship Subdivision of Division I, the winners include Barbara Burke (Wyoming, Football Bowl Subdivision); Athena Argyropoulos (American, Division I); Lynn Griffin (Indianapolis, Division II); Kelly Hart (Springfield, Division III); Beth DeBauche (NCAA, association or organization); and Tonia Walker (Winston-Salem State, Nell Jackson Award).

“NACWAA is honored to pay special recognition to each of these eight outstanding women for their hard work and dedication to intercollegiate athletics,” said Jennifer Alley, NACWAA’s executive director.

Murphy joined Columbia’s athletics department in November 2004 after six years in a similar position at Denver. At Columbia, she has completed a long- and short-term strategic planning process and launched a $100 million campaign for athletics.

She has been active in intercollegiate athletics on a national level, serving as a member of the Basketball Issues Committee and the group that chooses the winner of the Women’s Basketball Player of the Year. She is active in NACDA and the WBCA as well.

The winners will be recognized at the NACWAA convention next month in Atlanta
