NACDA chooses officers

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics elected Joan Cronan, director of women’s athletics at Tennessee, president of the association for 2008-09. The organization also chose other officers and the Executive Committee members.

Randy Spetman, athletics director at Florida State, will be first vice president; Dave Roach, athletics director at Colgate, will be second vice president; Dan Guerrero, director of athletics at UCLA will be third vice president; and David Stair, director of athletics at Evangel, will complete his third year of a five-year term as secretary.

Executive Committee members include Jeff Hathaway, athletics director at Connecticut; Sandy Barbour, athletics director at California; Gary Broadhurst, athletics director at Mohawk Valley Community College; Bridget Belgiovine, athletics director at Wellesley; Julie Bright, senior associate athletics director at Iowa State; Lori Ebihara, assistant commissioner of the Big 12; and Rudy Keeling, commissioner of the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

The selections were made during the NACDA convention June 9-12 in Dallas.
