Through a partnership with the NCAA Hall of Champions, the NCAA membership, friends and fans can experience the new Sports Museum of America at a discounted price. The museum, which opens May 7, is an interactive, new media experience designed to celebrate all sports.
Admission is $27, but for the first month $15 tickets are available for NCAA associates. The museum offers more than 800 artifacts, including the Heisman Trophy. Twenty original films are featured in 19 different galleries.
An emphasis on interactive exhibits allows fans to experience what it’s like to fend off a 120 mile per hour slapshot and race around a NASCAR track. There is also the opportunity to challenge NFL officials to make the right call.
A hall of fame dedicated to heroes from women’s sports rounds out the experience.
