The cabinet that oversees championships matters is among three new groups in the Division I governance structure that are meeting this week. Division III’s championships committee also meets.
The other Division I cabinets convening this week are those charged with overseeing recruiting issues and student-athlete awards, benefits and financial aid.
A key committee that includes membership from all three divisions – the Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee – also meets this week.
The next in a series of Division II regional leadership academies – designed to student-athletes, coaches and administrators in the South/Southeast region with tools to provide leadership on their campuses – gets underway Friday. Division II offers two regional academies annually.
