The summer meeting of the NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics -- the group charged with recommending policies and studying issues relating to opportunities for women in intercollegiate athletics -- tops this week’s busy schedule of meetings in the Association.
This weekend brings the summer meetings of the Divisions I, II and III Student-Athlete Advisory Committees in Minneapolis, where the Divisions II and III groups also will have an opportunity during the weekend to meet and discuss current issues with members of those respective divisions’ Management Councils.
Also scheduled are meetings of sports committee that oversee championships and/or rules in baseball and in track and field, as well as a meeting of the Division I Committee on Athletics Certification.
