The spring cycle of divisional governance meetings concludes this week with meetings of the NCAA Executive Committee, Division I Board of Directors and the Divisions II and III Presidents Councils in Indianapolis.
Also scheduled in conjunction with Wednesday’s and Thursday’s presidential sessions is a meeting of the Division I Presidential Advisory Group.
Thursday also brings the first of three days of competition at the National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships - the last of the NCAA’s winter championships. Team and all-around individual champions will be crowned Friday night at Georgia, and individual-event champions will be determined Saturday.
Also scheduled are meetings of the Division III Women’s Basketball Committee beginning today and the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee beginning Thursday, both in Indianapolis.
Next Sunday, the NCAA’s three-day Gender Equity and Issues Forum begins in Boston. The 18th forum features panelists and presenters on topics ranging from ground-floor Title IX concepts and gender equity planning to strategies for dealing with the most complex issues impacting women in intercollegiate sports
