The first of 28 NCAA winter championships will be decided next week in two sports.
The National Collegiate Men’s and Women’s Skiing Championships begin Wednesday and will crown a team titlist next Saturday at Bridger Bowl and the Bohart Ranch Cross Country Center in Bozeman, Montana.
Division III’s team wrestling championship also will be on the line during competition Thursday through Saturday at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Division III basketball tips off during the week for both men and women, with first-round pairings and sites to be announced Monday morning.
Also, a series of regional seminars to present information about the NCAA Group Basic Accident Medical Program -- a program for institutions seeking insurance for student-athlete medical expenses up to the $75,000 deductible of the Association’s catastrophic-injury insurance program -- continues next week with sessions at Boston College and West Virginia University.
