A series of 10 regional seminars to present information about the NCAA Group Basic Accident Medical Program -- a program for institutions seeking insurance for student-athlete medical expenses up to the $75,000 deductible of the Association’s catastrophic-injury insurance program -- begins next week with sessions in Indianapolis and Madison, Wisconsin.
Two winter championships also get under way next weekend, with regional competition in Division II wrestling set at four sites (Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Friday and Saturday; Indianapolis and Las Vegas, New Mexico, Saturday; and Mankato, Minnesota, Sunday) and regional competition scheduled in men’s and women’s fencing on Saturday (Poughkeepsie, New York, and Madison, New Jersey) and Sunday (Detroit and Fullerton, California).
A key meeting in Division II governance also is scheduled, as that division’s Academic Requirements Committee meets beginning Thursday.
